I am puttin my vote in the boys from Ben Hur to win the clinch mountain district if they work on their conditioning. They played one hell of a game up until the mid part of the third quarter and conditioning took over for union and union won. If Palko will run them boys and build up their wind they will be the clinch mountain district champs no doubt.
My hat is off to you fellas of Lee high. Yall played great and were really impressive. I wish the best for yall the rest of the season. Till we meet again my friends

i agree about the turn overs. bad playing by Union but despite Gate City I dont see anyone in the clinch mountain beating Lee and Gate City will have to be ready to play(which they always are). Palko needs to work on conditioning with lee for sure too

it was just a scrimmage and Lee played alot tougher last night then i have seen em play since 97 when they went to half state in Double A. Ive followed them every year since 94 when my bro was a senior at PV and they looked tougher than they have in YEARS. I dont see anyone except gate city beating them and like i said GC will have to be ready to play em

Can Burton pass? I havent got to see them play yet to know. If JIB can throw the ball and run some too they have a great shot at it. As I've mentioned in other posts Lee has a conditioning problem. They gave out on Union half way through the third quarter, so if JIB is a second half team yeah they can beat em (close but deff no blow out) but if JIB cant stop the run they'll have problems. Grahm and Anders are fast and strong. My advice to any JIB player on defence is wrap up when you hit one of these boys you wont run over em i promis you that

Eh, I mean, Lee has the best player on the field in Graham, but Norton always has good team speed. And, if we actually played our safeties sufficiently deep last night, then an immediate penetration at the line of scrimmage might not have led to three 65 yard touchdown romps. Lee definately has depth issues, and I think that GC's defense is probably a lot better than Union's at this point. GC tacklers will wrap Anders and Graham up at the point of attack and not let them dance in the backfield until they find a big hole. That's a discipline thing, and Houseright's defenses are nothing if not disciplined. Lee Co should win 5 or 6 games. Lee's definately better than last year. Maybe the most improved team in swva to this point, but they're not better than GC. Lee could actually finish second in the CMD because after GC, only Va High is good. Lebanon and Battle are just bad this year. Va High will be the game of the year for Lee Co. If they beat Va High, then they're solidly in the playoffs at 6-4, if not, then they're on the bubble at 5-5 or 4-6. Lee's loss last night really reduces their margin of error. They cant lose to Va High now.
